Journalist, freelance writer and personal historian Helen S. Bas is owner, president and writer for Bas Publications. Helen writes biographies of families and individuals, chronicling their lives, milestones and important events; and researches and writes histories of businesses and corporations. She also enjoys showing others how to write their memoirs.

Helen was also a feature writer with The Flint Journal and has written articles for local publications.

When she is not traveling around the country interviewing and presenting seminars on personal history, Helen likes to hunker down close to home in Grand Blanc, Mich. with her husband, Flint Symphony Orchestra manager Tom Glasscock, and their 23-year-old parrot, Jeffrey.
